i’ve just completed the first section of chapter 1, and i feel a bit woozy, so i think i’m going to stop now. word count for chapter 1 thus far: 1,846 words. and im only just a third of the way through the intended events. my original goal for each chapter was either 1000 or 2000 words minimum, and after bartering with ana at the end of april i bumped it up to 3000-3999, but now it seems i might outstrip sparkles and the great escape (at 4162 words) without even trying in the first chapter alone. mind you, the chapter is not finished and completely polished yet, and its only the first day of the process, so i wont pin my hopes on that quite yet.
okay, i wont update with word counts at the end of every day. i dont want to tedium the hell out of you guys before im even out of the starting gate. but this is the first time in months ive felt i could write so much and yet not be done, can you blame me for being excited?
