i really need to a) write more with/about max chambers and b) write more in general

All other OCs featured here belong completely to me.
Summary: Humanized!AU. Five separate people realize they need more help than everyday life can provide. A sixth is there to aid them all. Set pre-“game”.

double-drabble: Lemmy

With Dub’s arrival, the English language is more common in this house than ever. It’s the only one he knows, so naturally Wood is inclined to use it with him, in that voice.

So why is he more hung up on the words he doesn’t understand?

The answer is simple, really: the yellow rabbit. He talks to the raven as well in the almost-alien tongue, practically pushing him out of any conversation he was having at the time, no matter how important it is or how much Dub is insisting that the feeling is real.
Wood never tells him to butt out. Does he not realize how much this hurts him?

On the single occasion he’s left alone with Lemmy, Dub makes a futile attempt to lay down the ground rules. “He’s mine, all right?”
The rabbit looks up at the warning, doesn’t register it.
"I’ve known Wood longer than you have. I know what he’s really like. And I’m the one in love with him. So… You probably don’t even understand me right now," he scoffs, "but still. Don’t think you or Ina can take him away from me, because you can’t."

Lemmy just cocks his head, and he takes that as acceptance. He’s done all he can.
Now it’s up to Wood to choose correctly.

one of the OCs i made up especially for the superhero!au. i call him kakobar. i liked how he came out right here, so i wanted to show him to you all early.

ive decided to set myself a little bit of a task in conjunction with writing certain chapters of the superhero!au. i dont think ive made it a secret that the claw association will be compromised of 92% original characters, two shout-outs to ocs done by other people, and dr wood. (no, i wont explicitly name the shout-out characters in the chapter they appear in, just describe them enough that those who have seen them in their fanfiction/picture will know to whom i am referring. is that acceptable shout-out protocol?) the other 36 original characters all need set designs.

so what ive decided to do is: every time the claw association gets a new member, acknowledged in the chapter or not, i will draw them. i already have permission to draw sparkles, and am in the process of asking gundixD if i have permission to draw qwilby. by the time the association is at its largest (which will be in the middle of chapter 16), i will combine all the individual shots into a group shot and publish it on deviantart, as a kind of countdown-to-final-crisis style mid-fic ad campaign.

am currently drawing bear, han and tea. take a guess at what species they are.

"We’re starting your on a drug regime tonight," Nurse Goff tells him. "Don’t be too worried if it doesn’t feel quite right; it will probably take a couple of variations for us to find one that that works for you." She offers him a little paper cup. There are oblong green, dark blue and pink pills. A little, yellow round pill. He grasps the cup with both paws and rattles them around a little, watches them bump into one another.
The commercials on TV tell him to just say no to drugs, and after the giant, scary blank that is his last therapy session, he’s inclined to agree.

- Sparkles and the Great Escape (pollyrepeat)

for a reason that will hopefully become clear in the next week, i wanted to draw ignatias bedroom as envisioned in one of my longest die anstalt fics, locus minoris resistentiae - if you want to read it, i recommend going here first. since ignatia means “fiery” (and her nickname ina can mean ”illuminate”), i described her bedroom in orange/gold/red terms to match her fiery personality and contrast her mothers office below.
then somehow ina herself, and the briefly-mentioned yellow bunny, got into the picture, and what was a landscaping exercise turned out to be an adorable bonding moment.
